Welcome to Donelson

Located only a few miles east of downtown Nashville, Donelson is quickly becoming one of the most popular and desirable areas for young families to live in. Donelson offers an easy commute to the airport, and to downtown via I-40, Briley Parkway, or Lebanon Pike.

Each of these areas offers distinct cultural attractions, commercial centers, and recreational opportunities. One of the most notable draws to the Donelson area is the Grand Ole Opry, which moved to the area in 1974 after leaving the historic Ryman Auditorium. Today, the main Grand Ole Opry building is surrounded by the Opry Mills shopping mall and the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. On the south side of Donelson is the Nashville International Airport, which gives the neighborhood the distinct honor of providing the city’s first impression to visitors.

Donelson, previously known as a quiet suburb has developed into much more than that. The Donelson area contains many affordable ranch houses and is currently one of the hottest spots for buyers.
